Michael Horseman has been drawing and painting, since the early 1970s, and holds a BS Degree from Cornell University and an MBA Degree from the Wharton Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania. A former financial executive with the IBM Corporation, Mr. Horseman has taught Graduate Economics at Marist College and authored the MJF GROWTH STOCK ADVISORY which was ranked #1 in the World by the Hulbert Financial Digest in May, 1986. In addition, Michael has been breeding and racing harness horses for over forty years, and is the breeder of World Champion, Mathamomics and multiple Stakes Champion, Dynamike. In 2005, he authored the book, A HORSE FOR ALL SEASONS.
Mr. Horsemans bright and lively colors usually zero-in on joyful abstract expressions of nature, as depicted in his paintings, Autumn Blush, Seaside Fantasy and Come Fly With Me --- but he may also shock and surprise you with his cryptic floating balloons in Baghdad Birthday and elusive pre-historic shapes in Evolution. Then, in his question mark series, he challenges the viewer to reflect on, and ponder our topsy-turvy world --- be it war, inflation, the housing market, interest rates; or simply life-in-the-fast-lane!
Until recently, Michael has only made his artwork available for private showings, but under the guidance and encouragement of well-known artist, Francine Funke, he, along with his colorful butterflies, are finally emerging from their cocoons!
